Paintings
In late summer 2011, I started making paintings of the natural scenery of the Kawarthas (Ontario, Canada), as seen from a kayak or from sitting on the rocks. Then I got hooked!
All the paintings below were done on location. For each painting, I tried to call attention to some feature of the natural landscape that I found striking or beautiful. It was not hard to find inspiration.
This series has been displayed at the Moonbean Cafe and the Tampered Press in Toronto, the Kawartha Arts Network Gallery in Lindsay Ontario, and the Queen West Art Crawl in downtown Toronto.
