This was an experiment, as I attempted to paint a night shot for the first time.... plein air style. This didn't work very well, as despite all my attempts to modify my setup, I either couldn't see my paints on the palette or on the canvas to tell what I was doing, or I was ruining my night vision by turning on a little illumination. The result is very much not really finished, but I'd like to go back to it someday, as the appearance of the world at night lit by a full moon is nothing short of magical. Acrylic on canvas, 12x9".
